I’ve decided to investigate how gender identity is conveyed in the language use of comic books. I’ve chosen this subtopic because it was the one that initially interested me the most and I think I could have a lot to say about it, specifically when it comes to the language use of the female characters and whether this reflects the changing attitudes to gender identity.
